This is the trunk of a tree that starts with countries, splits into
counties or states, and then further down to individual communities.
Introduction
The objective of this is to construct a resource that can be
maintained giving a description of a local community, identifying what is
there and where possible providing links to allow you and others to get to
the local sites.
The central trunk and major branches are set up and maintained as a part
of this system, but the local index pages and content is individual small
web sites developed, managed and maintained by individuals all over the world.
Within a community often several people will be working together so that
the individual parts may be split over a number of physical web sites. The
actual content of the local pages will vary, although they should comply
with a specification available from us. To start, this will be very
thinly covered but over time it will develop into a magnificent structure.
Shortly an alternative trunk will be produced allowing this tree to be accessed
from many other locations.
